ARC Architects is working with The Everett Housing Authority for the design of a new senior apartment building with 140 units, as well as a host of amenities including exercise and fitness spaces, a library, multi-purpose room, and a scenic rooftop deck. The design fits within the hillside and steps down in massing as it transitions to the smaller homes to the west.  The parking lot is tucked behind the building and a large park creates a welcoming respite for this urban site.

The building steps back from the busy commercial road, providing increased depth for landscaping and large trees for shade and greenery.  This project will also rise to the owner’s ambitious decarbonization standards for new buildings, by employing solar energy, high-efficiency heating and cooling systems, and other passive strategies to reduce its environmental impact, and foster a healthy community for generations to come.
