Collaboration with Momentum Builds

Working for Momentum Builds, ARC Architects designed this inviting facility for The Hapo Credit Union in Vancouver, WA.  With a focus on sustainability and human wellness, the project is pursuing certification through the International WELL Building Institute with the hope of attracting a new generation of credit union members that puts people and members first.  Tall windows provide a lot of natural daylight to perimeter offices while clerestory glazing illuminates the Branch and Lending portions of the main floor.

The roof structure is made from innovated engineered wood products known as CLT (Cross Laminated Timbers).  Rain water run-off is controlled by a bioswale that is fed by a large artistic gutter that drains water from the upper roofs.  The individuality in design of the building is meant to parallel the credit union’s standard of service which is to treat every situation as a unique opportunity to go beyond what is expected.
