Front Street Park serves as an integral focal point of the City of Leavenworth’s central downtown district, hosting crowds of visitors at all times of year.  The existing 960 square-foot restroom facility remains well-maintained but its women’s room sorely lacks the capacity to keep up with demand.  This project will address growing capacity & maintenance needs, enhance wayfinding & pedestrian circulation, and introduce a covered public structure that will better serve the community.

The charm of downtown Leavenworth is accented by its characteristic expression of the Bavarian-Alpine style.  Using key design features, this new pavilion is an anchor point in the core of the community.  Taking notes from the surrounding buildings, this plaza creates a pronounced gateway from which to enjoy the downtown views.  The significant decorative scrolled elements and signage enhance the overall reflection of Bavarian type architecture.
